Many Many Mes

The main purpose of this site is to exhibit my images to anyone who may want to take on a project with me.

Whether you are looking for photos for a gallery or magazine, if you require shots of yourself, your friends or your

band for your website or portfolio then please contact me to arrange something. I am open to all kinds of ideas

and always enjoy working with new people. Based near Ikebukuro in Tokyo, I have easy access to most places in

the area and am always willing to come and meet people.

For anyone who is interested in a little more about me personally, please read on:

Currently living and working in Japan, I have been in some way involved with photography for the last 6 years, starting from a

trip to South Africa in 2002 which inspired the purchase of my first SLR, a Nikon F80. Since my upgrade to Digital in 2005, my

productivity has increased significantly seeing as developing and scanning costs/hassle are no longer a factor. Since moving

to Japan in Autumn 2006, photo opportunities and inspriation levels have been fairly free flowing, so the portfolio is

starting to take shape. I now have enough images for this website to be of reasonable size, but over the coming months I have

a few projects lined up that should improve its overall standard.

As for my background, I originate from the small town of Deal in South East Kent in England, and over the past few years before

moving East I studied French at Nottingham University, which allowed me to live in the city of Orleans for the academic year

2005/06 and learn fluent French. I moved to Japan in November 2006 and have just recently moved to the Nerima ward of

Tokyo, 10 minutes from the large district of Ikebukuro.

As for my photo equipment, I've been using a Nikon D200 for the past year or so, after trading in the aforementioned F80 and

D70s. I'm usually out and about somewhere with a tripod and SB-800 flashgun, but have recently started looking at doing more

studio work.

That is all for the profile, as it was not my intention to waffle inanely.

Luke.
